          Welcome to Quilt Block Mania!

Hello and welcome to my exciting new blog series, where I will be joining the talented designers of Quilt Block Mania. Here's the scoop: each month, I, along with the other participating designers, will create a brand new quilt block inspired by a common theme. You can easily access all of these blocks through the links provided below.

This month’s theme is mountains.

I’ve always been a sucker for camping out in the great outdoors, and when I think about mountains, it makes me think about cabins. And winter, and trees, and stars at night, and fresh air…So I knew I wanted to incorporate all of these things in this block.

But I also love to create things that are simple to piece. With that in mind, I designed the pattern so it can be pieced in 6 inch sections. A star, a moon, a cabin, and a tree are pieced separately and then combined into one 12 inch block. But you could use each of the sections as a 6 inch block pattern by itself, so that’s a bonus – yay, you!

To get the pattern, sign up for my newsletter below, and you’ll receive instant access to the block, and I’ll also send you future blocks in your email. if you’re already a subscriber, you’ll get the newsletter with the link to the block.

Click the links below to collect the other blocks and put them together into a themed quilt  – what fun!

If you make my block, show it off on socials by tagging me @studiobquilting and with the hashtags #quiltblockmania and #wintercabin so we can all see it!

Happy quilting!
