I’m happy to see that you’ve shown up here to get another block – month four and I’m still on a roll with Quilt Block Mania! Yay me!
The theme this time is Games, and that led me down a rabbit-hole of remembered childhood games. I was a kid back in the ‘70s, when parents felt no obligation to entertain their kids. We were sent outside to play!
One of my favorite games was Duck Duck Goose – remember that one? All the kids in a circle while the goose walked behind them patting heads and calling out duck duck until one kid was named the goose, and the chase was on!
So of course I designed a block that features geese chasing one another around the block. I hope that you enjoy sewing it as much as I did! It’s a quick and easy block that takes advantage of four-at-a-time methods for making flying geese and half-square triangles.
